The Moscow Mule: invented in 1941 at the Chatham Hotel in New York.

Martin and Kunett had their minds on their vodka and wondered what would happen if a two-ounce shot joined with Morgan's ginger beer and the squeeze of a lime. Ice was ordered, limes procured, mugs ushered in and the concoction put together. Cups were raised, the men counted five and down went the first taste. It was good. It lifted the spirit to adventure. Four or five later the mixture was christened the Moscow Mule...

The Danzig Donkey: invented Hallowe'en night 2009 at 3 Speed in Toronto. Russian vodka is replaced with Bison Grass Vodka. (The actual Zubrowka website is all flashy and annoying.)

The Havana Horse: invented January 4, 2010 here at the coach house in Toronto. It was Telling Tales' idea to use rum instead of vodka (moscow mule) or bison grass vodka (danzig donkey). I executed the concept with dark CUBAN rum (anejo reserva) and a mint leaf (a nod to the infamous mojito). Delicious! Please remix, spindle and mutilate as you see fit. (The actual Havana Club website is also all flashy and annoying.)
